Harry Howard Hardaway, 87, of Buford, GA passed away November 27, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Harry was born in Luthersville, GA to the late Ira and Leola Hardaway. Mr. Hardaway was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church Of Cumming. He was a graduate of Georgia State University, and an avid UGA Bulldog fan. Harry had a 32 year career with State Farm Insurance Company in commercial management. He loved traveling, and bluegrass music. Harry was an avid snow skier, golfer and fisherman.
Mr. Hardaway was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Leola Hardaway; siblings, Guy (Mildred) Hardaway, Nell (Hynes) Carroll, Inez (Joseph) Duffey, Jewell (Ralph) Quigley, Ned (Evelyn) Hardaway, Ruth (Carey) Adams, Mary Sue West, Rose (Roswell) Lee, Helen Rowe, and Peggy Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jewell Hardaway; Son, Harry Howard Hardaway, Jr (Connie) Hardaway, Daughter Angie (Chuck) Little; grandchildren, Katie Hardaway, Kyle (Marcy) Hardaway, Pam (Kirby) Dean, Karri Jo (Jack) Stucke, Allison Little; great-grandchildren, Price Hardaway, Tate Hardaway, Ellie Dean; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, December 3, 2204, at the First Baptist Church of Cumming with Rev. Ken Danuser officiating. A private family interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartwell, GA. The family will receive friends Monday, December 2, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Baptist Church of Cumming Acts 1:8 Mission.
