Helen Ann Nix

Helen Ann Nix, of Cumming, GA, age 74, passed away on January 18, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and attended the women's Sunday school class. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. J.C. Nix; parents, C.E. and Sarah Jones; sisters, Isabelle Jackson, Ora Peckham, Flossie Jones; brothers, Richard Jones, Gene Jones, Floyd Jones, Hoyt Jones, James Jones; father and mother-in-law, Chess and Lula Nix; brother-in-law, Raymond Bennett. Survivors include her children, Dennis and Denise Cantrell, Marvin and Donna Nix, Paula Atkins, Larry and Brenda Swanson, Donnie and Marla Nix; grandchildren, Brandon and Emily Cantrell, William and Shannon Grindle, Matt and Abbey Gilbert, Brett Nix, Taylor Atkins and fianc Haley Bruce, Alan Atkins, Patrick Atkins, Mallory Swanson, Macy Swanson, Jake Nix, Dylan Nix, Adaline Nix; great grandson, Lucas Cantrell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vera and Walter Porter, Mary and Hulon Andrews; sister, Mattie Park; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Barbara Jones, J.C. and Mary Jones, Loyd and Marie Jones, Boyd and Kathleen Jones, Herman and Edna Jones; brothers, Charles Jones, Harold Jones; sisters-in-law, Janelle Jones, Diane Jones, Louise Bennett; caregivers, Sue Hamby and Sue Bogar along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Blackburn, Rev. Craig Richard, and Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
