Mrs. Helen Lawanda Beard, age 68 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away July 3rd, 2010.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 7th at Byars Funeral Home in Cumming. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include husband, Steve Beard of Dahlonega; son, Brian & Stacy Beard of Dahlonega; daughter, Stacie & Lance Kochen of Ocala, Florida; daughter, Sherrie & David Winston of Cumming; brothers, Larry, Wendell and Roy Staten all of Lake City, Florida; sister, Sandy Holloway of Alabama. Six grandchildren, Megan and Amber Kochen, Matthew and Andrew Winston, Jacob Beard, Kirstin Brown also survived.
