Henry Wells Phillips was born in Texarkana, Texas on January 7, 1928. He lived in Cumming, Georgia. Henry died a natural death at home on October 30, 2015. Henry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie Christine Phillips; his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and David Pergantis of Braselton, GA and his grandchild and wife, Kevin and Laura Pergantis of Atlanta, GA. Henry was a wonderful husband, father, grandaddy and friend. He served in the United States Navy and the United States Army during 1946 to 1951. In 1970, Henry started his own Manufacture Rep firm, Henry W. Phillips Co. and retired in 2002. He loved the outdoors, traveling in his motor home, being at the lake, and playing golf. Most of all, he loved his family and friends. He was a dedicated member and lifetime Deacon of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church since 1964. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta, Interment will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church (2715 Peachtree Road NE. Atlanta, GA 30305) or Pruitt Health Hospice (Attention: Pruitt Foundation 1626 Jeurgens Ct. Norcross, GA. 30090) Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
