Obituary

After a long and happy 86 years of life, Herman Franz Eisele passed away peacefully on Sunday April 19, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. Hermann is survived by his wife of 65 years today; Heidrun (Heidi) Christine Eisele, daughter; Irina Eisele, son; Frank Eisele, daughter; Petra (Eisele) Monell daughter; Jackie (Eisele) Powalowski, sister; Roswitha Dygutsch, and a plethora of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Hermann was born in Bad Saulgau, Germany on November 26, 1939. He and the family immigrated in 1967 to Canada and after ten years to the United States and during this time he was employed by Siemens.

Hermann and Heidi settled in Cumming, Georgia and after Hermann’s retirement he and Heidi opened the first authentic German Restaurant (Gasthaus Le Cafe) in Cumming, Georgia. They very quickly became popular for their authentic German cooking.

A heartfelt “thank you” to all our friends and previous customers that enjoyed our food and who continuously supported Gasthaus Le Cafe!!

Please join us to celebrate Hermann’s legacy and the many lives he has touched. The celebration will be held on Friday May 22, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, Georgia. All who wish to celebrate his life and legacy are welcome!

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered!!
