Homer Kenneth Jackson

Homer Kenneth Jackson, 78, of Cumming, GA, passed away on June 18, 2025. Born in New Albany, MS, in 1947 to Iva Louise and Wayburn Art Jackson, Kenneth attended WP Daniel High School before joining the Army.

Kenneth served over 25 years in the Army and National Guard, retiring as a Major. He was a Combat Engineer Officer in the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for bravery. He was a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Cumming, GA.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Tyre and Joe Allen Jackson, and sister Betty Denise Fernando. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Teresa Annette, daughters Samantha and Carrie, and granddaughters Margaret Haidyn and Mary Elizabeth.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 11 am at Ingrams Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, followed by a graveside service at 2 pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project in Kenneth’s name.
