Hugh Dorsey Rogers

Hugh Dorsey Rogers, age 87, of Cumming, GA., passed away on Sunday, May 17,2026. Dorsey was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He served 8 years as a Deputy Sheriff under the former Sheriff Donald Pirkle. Dorsey retired from Sawnee Farms. He is preceded in death by his parents, H.W. and Lillie Mae Boling Rogers; wife, Alice Earline Bennett Rogers; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Gwen Bagley.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Michael Cochran; grandsons, Jacob Cochran (Madison Terry) And Cale Cochran (Madi Griffin); nephew, Ben Bagley; niece, Stacey Bagley.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Richard and Rev. Jordan Day officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church.
