Ioanna Plakiotis

Ioanna Plakiotis, age 91, from Cumming, Ga., died peacefully on July 31st, 2025.

Ioanna was born January 20, 1934, in Peloponnese Greece. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved making home cooked meals and sharing her knowledge of Greek cuisine surrounded by her family and friends.

She always kept herself close with God and enjoyed practicing her faith on a regular basis.

She also enjoyed gardening and spending time outside on the patio on sunny summer days.

Ioanna is survived by her children; George, Gus and Maria and grandchildren; Steve, Lauren, Brendan, and Deanna And her great grandchildren; Luca and Lena.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 , at Saints Raphael, Nicholas, & Irene Greek Orthodox Church at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at  Sawnee View  Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the funeral home.
