It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan Eduard Otto Varaljai, who passed away on June 30th, 2026 at the age of 86.

Born on June 25th, 1940 in Timișoara, Romania. Ivan came to the United States in January 1991 with his wife, Aurelia and son Amedeo. He loved America and the values it stands for with his entire being. He built a new life here through hard work, sheer determination, and faith. He also cherished his Romanian, Hungarian, and Croatian roots, inherited from his parents Ema and László Varaljai.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Aurelia, with whom he shared 46 years of his life together filled with many accomplishments and wonderful memories. He was the best father any son could ask for, as well as a beloved husband, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He leaves behind his beloved son, Amedeo, his grandson, Eduard, his daughter-in-law, Narcisa, his sister, Ema, his brother-in-law, John, his nephew, Larry, and grandnephews, John and Malcom, as well as many other extended family members in Romania and Germany.

We will forever cherish his wisdom, guidance, selflessness, humor, and his unconditional love for his family. We find peace knowing that Ivan is reunited with his beloved wife and all those who have passed before him. His deep devotion to God, the Blessed Mother Mary, and Saint Anthony will guide his soul safely to Heaven.

Friends and family are invited to Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory on July 5th, 2026 between 3 and 5 PM. The memorial service will be held by Father Nicolae Clempuș at Ingram Funeral Home on July 6th, 2026 at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming
