Jackie "Jack" Eugene Biddy

Rev. Jackie “Jack” E. Biddy, age 89, passed peacefully surrounded by family on May 10, 2026. Born on April 8, 1937, Jack lived a life devoted to his faith, his family, and the calling God placed upon his life.

At the age of 21, Jack accepted Christ as his Savior and faithfully served the Lord from that day forward. Not long after being saved, he prayed and asked the Lord to send him a good Christian woman to share his life with. Soon afterward, he met the love of his life, Barbara, on a blind date. Their love story blossomed into a beautiful marriage that lasted 66 wonderful years. Together they built a Christ-centered home filled with love, laughter, faith, and devotion to family. God blessed Jack and Barbara with two children, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren who were truly the joy of his life.

Jack loved his family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren, their spouses, and especially his precious great-grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, cheering them on, or simply enjoying time together, “Grandad” found his greatest happiness in the family God had given him.

Jack was ordained as a deacon in 1974. In 1976 he announced his call to preach and was ordained into the full work of ministry in 1982, and faithfully served as pastor of eight churches from 1982 until 2019: Silver Shoals Baptist Church, Settendown Baptist Church, Hopewell Baptist Church, Liberty Baptist Church, New Bethel Baptist Church, Ridgeview Baptist Church, Siloam Baptist Church and Mountain View Baptist Church. He rejoiced in seeing many souls saved and had the privilege of baptizing countless others through the years.

One of his favorite pieces of advice to young preachers beginning their ministry was, “End up with what you started with.” reminding them to stay grounded in the faith, and calling God first gave them.

He is preceeded in death by his Infant Daughter, Mother Imogene Lance, Father Dillard Biddy, Brother Dennis Biddy, Sister Gail Rogers
