Jacky Boyd Heard

January 1, 1939 – April 10, 2026

Jacky Boyd Heard age 87 went to be with Jesus, surrounded by family and friends on April 10th 2026. Jacky was born in Cherokee County Georgia to Tom and Ruby Holbrook Heard. Jacky grew up in the Ducktown Community and attended Ducktown Elementary School and Forsyth County High School. He was in the first graduating class of Forsyth County High School in 1956 and was voted High School King by his peers. He also received the honor of being Most Popular along with Joyce Ingram of the Ingram Funeral Home family, and Most Handsome Couple with Nancy Worley. Jacky was employed by Beck & Gregg Hardware, General Motors and Owned his own Grading and Landscaping Company, then Established Heard Farm where he raised cattle and chickens for 25 years and then retired in 2004.

Jacky is preceded in death by his parents, Infant son Todd Heard, and son, Kirk Heard.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue Turner Heard, daughter, Peg Densmore of Ellijay, daughter-in-law, Janet Heard of Acworth, Granddaughter, Monica (Jim) Brown of Rockmart, great Grandsons, Nathan Brown and Alex (Mandy) Brown, great granddaughter, Rose Brown.

Also Survived by sister, Dorothy (Dot) Heard Wynens of Macon GA, niece, Alisa (Chess) Rehberg of Hillsboro, GA, great niece, Gracie Rehberg, great nephew James (Annabelle) Rehberg.

Survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Charlene Turner, Jimmy Dean, Junior Roper, Evalina Turner all of Cumming, GA, Nervia Lou Turner of Dawsonville, GA. nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Special Thanks to the entire staff of Compass Hospice, especially Sharon, Kelly, Tristan and Jennifer.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Purcell, Rev. Cecil Townley and Rev. Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
