James Willie Bearden

James Willie Bearden, 78 of Cumming, Ga., passed away on Monday February 20,2023. James was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Cumming, GA.

James was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone.

James was a heavy equipment operator. There was not a machine he could not operate. He built many jeeps from the frame up. He loved taking Jeep trips with friends. He was most happy when he was in a jeep, on a loader, or driving his tractor. There was not anything that he could not fix and everyone called on him when they needed advice on fixing things.

James is proceeded in death by his parents, Willie and Fannie Mae Bearden, brother, Marcus Bearden and brother-in-law, Bobby Jones, father and mother-in-law, Ivan and Jerelene Martin. 

James is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Debbie Martin Bearden, his sons, Kevin and Brittany Bearden, and Jeremy and Jody Lynn Bearden, his loving grandchildren, Lexie, C.J. and Emma Grace. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Jones and brother, Danny and Linda Bearden, brothers/sisters-in-law, Gary Martin and Sarah Heard, Richard and Joan Martin, Keith and Lisha Martin, Jeff and Helen Martin, Denease and Barry Yearwood and Danette and Shane White. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Richards and Rev. Danny Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
