James Broughton O'Bryant

James Broughton O'Bryant, age 80, of Canton, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Hopkins; grandson, Cole Hopkins; parents, Edith & Elmer O'Bryant; sister, Minnie Hyde; brother, Charles O'Bryant; father-in-law, Hubert Cowart; sister-in-law, Brenda Lewis. Survivors include his loving wife, Bernice O'Bryant; grandson and wife, Luke (Allison) Hopkins; son-in-law and wife, Ricky (Sherry) Hopkins; mother-in-law, Vera Cowart; sisters and brother-in-laws, Thena Mae Satterfield, Dot (Terry) Clark; brothers and sister-in-laws, John (Peggy) O'Bryant, Jimmy (Unsuk) O'Bryant, Floyd (Pat) O'Bryant, Loyd (Betty) O'Bryant; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandra & Mike Martin, many nieces and nephews; care taker, Diane Martin; and other loved ones and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Purcell and Rev. Taylor Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
