James Michael Holbrook

James Michael “Mikie” Holbrook, 55, passed away on February 24, 2026, in Gainesville, GA. He was born on May 29, 1970, in Cumming, GA.

Mikie was a devoted father, grandfather, and family man whose greatest joy in life was the people he loved. He had a gift for laughter and could light up any room with his sense of humor. Those who knew him will remember his warm heart, his playful spirit, and the way he made others feel welcome and at ease.

He worked as a cabinet builder, a craft he took great pride in. Through his skilled hands and strong work ethic, he created beautiful work that reflected his dedication and attention to detail.

Mikie had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dog, Bexie. His compassion extended to every creature, and his gentle nature was evident in the way he cared for them.

Above all, Mikie will be remembered for his love of family, his laughter, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

He is survived by his father, Eddy Holbrook; his sons, Vince and Michael; his daughters-in-law, Ashley and Lindsey; his cherished grandchildren, Sawyer, Harley, Iris, and Haddie; his sisters, Debbie, Donna, and Tammy; and his brother, Jackie; along with other loving family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Holbrook; his sister, Sherry; and his brother, Eddy Jr.
