Mr. James Larry Mooney, 77, of Cumming passed Sunday, September 21, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Cumming to his parents, Hubert and Annie Collins Mooney. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, was a member of the Lafayette Masonic lodge, and a member of the Shriners, where he was affectionately known as “Yoyo” the clown, Mr. Mooney loved to fish and hunt and was very active in his community, he was an active member of Long Street Baptist Church where he was also very involved. Mr. Mooney is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Annie Mooney; daughter, Amy Mooney; and sister, Mary Lou Roper (Egbert), and Louise Ray (Billy).
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Judy Thompson Mooney; daughter, April Langley (Jason); grandchildren, Christopher Daly (Jackie), Jacob Daly (Angel), Makaila Langley (Hunter); and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services to honor the life of Mr. James Mooney will be Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Don Allen officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Long Street Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia.
