James Robert Simonds, age 85, of Forsyth County, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026.James lived a full and vibrant life, and anyone who knew him knew his passion for sports cars—the speed, the shine, the craftsmanship. It wasn’t just a hobby; it was a joy that reflected his personality.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Itmay Simonds, wife Myra Simonds, and his daughter Vickie Stiles.

James is survived by his children:- Sandra & son‑in‑law Marty Moody- Lisa & son‑in‑law Terry Marlow- Lori Clonts.- Shirrie & son‑in‑law Ricky Heard- Penny Latimore- Gina Simonds

Of all the roles he held in life, his favorite—by far—was being “Papa.” He was endlessly proud of his family. His love for all of his 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren was immeasurable, and each one brought him joy, laughter.

James leaves behind a legacy of love, pride, and family devotion. His presence will be deeply missed, but his stories, his humor, and his unwavering support will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
