James Russell Thompson

Mr. James Russell Thompson, 77 of Alpharetta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Jimmy was raised in Alpharetta and attended Milton High School. Jimmy was a Master Plumber his whole life. Jimmy was a NASCAR fan, loved to Deer hunt, dance, and play cards. We will miss being able to talk to him about anything. He was always the Ear when we needed someone to talk to. We will miss him whistling and humming, and the love and affection he showed to his family, and his willingness to always help others. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Bertha Thompson.

Survivors include his children, Janine Hayes, Melisa Prather (Chris), and Kandi Holloway, siblings, Jo-Carol Brown, Jane Jackson, Johnny Thompson, David Thompson, Kathy Thompson- Ivey and Joy Joyner, grandchildren, Houston Hayes, Hanna Hayes-Benitez (Ayner), Elliott Prather, Kiala Holloway, Kinsli Holloway, and Caden Holloway.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. James Thompson will be Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 12 Noon in the Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. A private inurnment will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell following the service.
