Jason Paul Leland Goehner, 48, of Gainesville, GA a devoted follower of Jesus passed away May 24, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He will be remembered for his deep faith, joyful worship, and commitment to serving others. A faithful member of the church, Jason poured himself into ministry and service in countless ways—mentoring young people through small groups, volunteering faithfully with the Big Brother program, the Atlanta Dream, and Passion Conferences. He was always eager to lift others up and share Christ’s love with anyone.

He was an avid sports fan, who loved cheering on, specifically, The Ohio State football team. He had a love for good food, desserts, reading war stories, and watching the History Channel. He will forever be remembered by his love for Jesus and family, his fun-loving humor, ability to quote any line to any movie, and his contagious laughter.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Michelle Unsicker Goehner; children, Selah Grace, Alaya, Sophia; mother, Debra Hufstader; sister and brother in-law, Kristi and Sean Mart; and niece, Mariah Shelby and her husband Jake. They have two children Rowan and Wylder.

A celebration of life will be held June 5th 2026 at 6pm at Local Church Dawson.
