Jean Sims

Jean Sims, age 87, of Dawsonville, GA., passed away, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her home. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Bess Waters; brothers, Stanley, Jackie, Gary, and Alvin Waters; sisters, Betty James and Suzie Piper. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and in her later years attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Dottie Goley, Lynn (Debbie) Sims, Robin Allen, and Janice (Buddy) Walden; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Beavers; brothers and sisters in law, Hugh (Frances) Waters and Elvis (Jackie) Waters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Blackstock and Rev. Travis Bridgeman officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, June 23, 2025, from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home.
