Jeanette Ann Smith

Jeanette Ann Smith, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 25, 2025 at the age of 69 after a 6-year journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Up until the end, Jeanette maintained her strong-willed and fun-loving personality, and never lost her sense of humor, even (and especially) when it wasn’t appropriate. She was the life of the party every place she went.

Jeanette loved animals and being outdoors, and worked with horses most of her life (though she’d tell you she loved her pet pigs the most). She would also tell you that the best thing she ever did was raise her son, Richard. She loved to tell embarrassing stories about him to her grandsons, Jude (16) and Solomon (9), whom she also delighted in.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Booker and Yvonne Smith, and is survived by her sisters Linda (Loy) Day and Kim (D.T.) Smith and her son, Richard (Bonnie) Pruitt and her grandsons, Jude and Solomon.

A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 6:00pm at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name are appreciated.
