Obituary

On April 20th, surrounded by love, Jeannette Rickett Brannon, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home. By her side were her devoted son, Steve, and her granddaughters, Kate and Ashley. She took her final breath in the very same place where her beloved husband, Sherrell Brannon, passed 21 years before. Just days earlier, on April 11th, they would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary—a love story that continues beyond this life.

A lifelong resident of Cumming and Dawsonville, Jeannette built a life grounded in faith, resilience, and family. Alongside her husband, Sherrell, she helped establish and grow several family businesses, from greenhouses to residential cleaning, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Jeannette was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She poured her heart into raising her son and remained a steady, guiding presence for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.

She had a deep passion for the outdoors and gardening brought her peace, whether she was planting flowers, tending to fruit trees, or growing vegetables. She found joy in fishing, cherished her animals, and found happiness in the simple beauty of nature. Holidays and family gatherings were especially dear to her, moments filled with warmth that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by: Her loving son, Steve Kenneth Brannon; her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kate Brannon and great grandson, Christopher L. Brannon, Steven and wife, Amy, Brannon and great grand-daughter, Lydia Grayson Brannon, Ashley and Miles Welling son in law including their children, Hunter Chase, Welling, Joseph Reed Welling, Remington Kenneth Welling, Waylon Colt Welling;

along with extended family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Sherrell Brannon, and those who went before her.

As we say goodbye, we do not say farewell forever. Her love remains in every garden bloom, every quiet sunrise, and every family gathering. Until we meet again—happy anniversary, Granny and Papa. Together again, just as it was always meant to be.

Rest high on those mountains together!! Always in our hearts.

A private celebration of life will be held in honor May 16th in Dawsonville Georgia.

Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA is in charge of arrangements.
