Jennifer R. Moffat

Jennifer R. Moffat, age 52, entered the gates of Heaven on May 18th, 2025, at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, GA. She fought courageously in her battle against breast cancer.

Jennifer was born on October 30, 1972, in Rushford, New York, to Rebecca Dailey and Albert Thorington. Jennifer was happily married to her husband, Sean Moffat, her loving partner in life for 31 years at the time of her passing. She is survived by three children, Liam, Conor, and their daughter, Delaney. Her love for her family was the heart of her life, and she will be remembered for the warmth, strength, and devotion she shared with them each day. She also leaves behind one brother, Mackenzie Thorington, and one sister, Alison Rosario.

Jennifer pursued her passion for learning by earning an associate degree in accounting from Johnson & Wales University. Driven by a desire to care for others, she continued her education at the Community College of Rhode Island, obtaining an associate degree in nursing. Jennifer became a Registered Nurse immediately thereafter. Jennifer went on to serve as a compassionate and dedicated nurse for 15 years, touching many lives with her kindness and care. Jennifer had a deep love for her family, exploring new places, soaking up the sunshine, and cheering on her favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter etched a mark with everyone. Those who knew her often said she brought joy and warmth wherever she went. Jennifer touched countless lives with her generosity, compassion, and unwavering drive to help others.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of Life in honor of Jennifer. The first gathering will be held on Sunday, June 8th, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a memorial service at 4:00 PM, located at Flat River Tavern, 2260 Flat River Road, Coventry, Rhode Island. A second gathering will take place in Rushford, New York, on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
