Mr. Jerry Wayne Baker, 77, of Cumming departed this life on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Jerry was born in Dyersburg, TN, to his parents, Otha Lee and Mary Lydia Huffine Baker. Mr. Baker was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Cumming. Jerry retired from the Fulton County Water Department. Mr. Baker proudly served his country in the United States Army, and Jerry was a member of the Liberty Quartet for many years. Jerry loved singing for his lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jerry was a family man who cherished his children and grandchildren. Jerry touched countless lives along life's journey and will be missed by those who knew him. Mr. Baker is preceded in death by his parents, Otha Lee and Mary Lydia Huffine Baker; his sisters, Jean White and Betty Nell Ozment; and his brother, Billy Baker, as well as his sister-in-law, Barbara Baker.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Lewis Baker, children, Tiffany Baker, Dustin Baker, Michael McBrayer, Christopher McBrayer, and Kimberly Frasier, siblings, Linda Drewery (Phil), Betty Smith (Keith) and Bobby Baker, grandchildren, Natalie Baker, Ansley Baker, Josh Dixon, Caleb Dixon, Seth Dixon, Klay McBrayer, Maggie McBrayer, Karson McBrayer, Kam Fraiser, Ryleigh Fraiser, Regan McBrayer, Cannon McBrayer and Ayden McEntyre.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Jerry Wayne Baker will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at noon in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Bennett and Rev. Ricky Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery with military honors performed by the United States Army. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
