Jerry Barrett

Jerry Wayne Barrett, 73, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. A lifelong resident of Forsyth County, Jerry loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed making people laugh and loved NASCAR racing, even racing several times at Dixie Speedway. A Christian by faith, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Jamey Simmons, and his sister-in-law, Darlene Barrett.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Barrett, daughter, Tiffany Barrett (Eddie) Lee, step-daughter, Angela Martin; mother, Etta “Nanner” Barrett Simmons; grandchildren, Trevor Lingerfelt (Laura), Riley Barrett, Jaclyn Lingerfelt, Erica Snyder, Evan Stowers, Eli Stowers; great grandchildren, Mordecai Lingerfelt, Ellie Lingerfelt, and Bane Barrett; brothers and sisters, Terry Barrett, Robbie (Marvin) Ruis, Lee (Chris) Barclay, Jason Simmons and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Ray Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
