Jerry Hunt, Sr.

William Jerry Hunt, Sr., 82, a lifelong resident of Cumming passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Jerry was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Sawnee Electric after 40 years of service. The love of his life was boating, living on Lake Lanier and being a huge NASCAR fan. Jerry was a long-time member of Cumming First United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Mary Hunt, and his brothers, Lanny Hunt and Jimmy Hunt.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Joy Hunt; daughter, Roxane Huff; son, William Jerry Hunt, Jr.; grandchildren, Dori Huff, Dustin Huff; great grandson, Ashton Cowart.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Sawnee View Gardens with Rev. Kathie Stasko officiating.
