Jimmie Lee Hames

Jimmie Lee Hames, age 90, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday May 5th, 2025. Jimmie Lee is survived by her daughter Denise Wagoner, and her three grandchildren Tamara Ragsdale, Kristina Putman and Tony Morris, and also her five great grand children Avery, Brynn, Bailey, Caleb, and Cooper. Jimmie Lee, born December 21,1934 in Atlanta Georgia, was the daughter of Claude and Ilene Gillespie. Jimmie Lee and Allen met while attending Okeefe High School, started dating and were married December of 1952. Jimmie Lee and Allen had 2 children but she also worked at Davidson's (Macy's) downtown where she grew a love for fashion that she passed down to the next three generations. Jimmie Lee and Allen were both fortunate enough to retire early and get to expand upon their love for traveling and their love of socializing. Jimmie Lee was active in multiple different organizations, The Red Hat Society, The Lanier Ladies Society, head of the garden club and active members of First Baptist Church of Cumming. Nanny as she was known best loved that title and loved all of her babies unconditionally.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel Saturday May 10th 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
