John H. "Johnny" Vic III

John H. "Johnny" Vickers, III, age 84 of Calhoun, formerly of Forsyth County, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church in Alpharetta. He was a former owner of Sandy Springs Funeral Home and worked for Louie Jones Funeral Home for many years. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John H. and Nancy Vickers, IV of Dahlonega, Patrick Barton and Crystal Vickers of Calhoun; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Fred C. Vickers of Decatur; and a number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10th at 11:00 am at Midway United Methodist Church with Dr. Mike Cash and Rev. Nancy Meeker officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and at Midway United Methodist Church on Friday from 10:00 am until hour of the service.
