John P. Nelson

Mr. John P. Nelson, age 83 of Cumming, GA, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009 following an extended illness. He was a member of St. Brendans Catholic Church and a WWII Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, LaVonne Nelson of Cumming; son, Paul M. Nelson of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer M. and Mike Barlow of Douglasville; grandchildren, Shelby and Emma Barlow of Douglasville; niece and her husband, Annie and John Stewart of Bellingham, Washington. A Christian Mass and burial will be held Monday, August 24th at 11:00 am at St. Brendans Catholic Church with Father John Howren officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 23rd from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
