Johnnie Mae Barrett

Johnnie Mae Barrett, 82, of Cumming passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. Mrs. Barrett was born October 12, 1941 in Rome, GA to the late William Samuel and Ethel Katherine Tullis Moon. A lifelong resident of Georgia, she was a homebody who loved animals, the Georgia Bulldawgs, her 2 grandchildren and her church. In additional to her parents, Mrs. Barrett is preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Benjamin Barrett; sisters, Mona Moon, Carolyn Hightower, and Sue Mooney.

Surviving are her son, Adam (Max) Barrett of Hobe Sound, FL; daughter, Lisa Barrett (Daniel) Tell of Cumming; granddaughter, Morgan Tell (Bryce) Gruber of Cumming; grandson, Conor (Eliana) Tell of Cumming; brother-in-law, Larry Mooney; many nieces and nephews and her loving church family and friends at True Way Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Mooney officiating. Interment will follow at Haw Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
