Joyce Elizabeth Harris

Joyce Elizabeth Harris, age 83, of Braselton, GA, passed away on May 20, 2026. Joyce was a woman of strong faith whose deep love for her family and all people around her shone through every aspect of her life. Graceful and always well put together in her outfits, she brought warmth and elegance to every room she entered, often lightening the mood with her wonderful sense of humor. Her pantry was famously well stocked with everyone’s favorite family treats, a reflection of how thoughtfully she cared for those she loved. Joyce never missed a family event, showing up with her presence as reliable as her love, and she faithfully mailed personalized birthday cards to keep connections strong no matter the distance. She knew everyone and everything about them – their stories, their joys, and their needs – making each person feel truly seen and cherished in her gentle, generous way.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Sailors; foster mother and father, Claude and Lillah Bearden; sisters, Jean Bowen, Zelma Rider; husbands, Johnny Robertson, R.E. Harris; sons Billy Robertson, Joe Robertson; stepdaughter, Greta Elmore.

She is survived by her grandchildren, John (Alisa) Robertson, Allyson Robertson, Richard (Susan) Robertson, Adam (Ashley) Robertson; stepsons, Greg (Ingrid) Harris, Gary (Tracey) Harris; brothers, Hoyle Cannon, Herman Bearden; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including Tanya (Kris) Schwab.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Fife officiating. The interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.
