Juanita Blackstock Benefield

Juanita Blackstock Benefield, age 82, of Cumming, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Mrs. Benefield is preceded in death by her husband, William Parmer Benefield; son, Windle Benefield; and daughter, Linda Benefield Lanier. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Sandra H. Benefield of Cumming; son-in-law, Ricky Lanier of Cumming; 4 grandchildren, Monica & Travis Day, Daniel Lanier, Dusty & Danielle Benefield, and Mary Beth Benefield, all of Cumming; 2 great grandchildren, Ethan and Morgan Day; 2 sisters, Bernice Pruitt and Pauline Pirkle; sister-in-law, Ethel Benefield, all of Cumming; several nieces, nephews and other relatives survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Haw Creek Baptist Church in Cumming. Remains will lie in state at 1:30 at the Church with Rev. Larry Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow at Haw Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
