June Folds McKinney

June Folds McKinney, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, surrounded by family. She was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and lifelong friend to many special people.  

June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane & Roy Walter, her son and daughter-in-law, Wade & Michelle McKinney, grandchildren: Corey Green, Nicole Cox (Darrin Stancil), Shannon (Josh) Norris, Daniel Cox, Bennett & Alex McKinney, two great grandsons and two great granddaughters she loved dearly.

Born on December 18, 1936, she was preceded in death by the love of her life for 43 years, Earnest C. McKinney and her daughter, Denise McKinney.

June was a cosmetologist for many years, an avid reader, and loved playing cards and board games with friends and family. She taught herself to paint, refinish furniture and loved a good do-it-yourself project. She had an awesome sense of humor and always loved a good laugh. “Granny” will be missed by all those who had the good fortune to know and be loved by her.

A memorial service is planned for 2pm, Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Ingram Funeral Home chapel in Cumming, Georgia.
