Kinnie Alexander Dismuke, 84, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026 with his wife Jan by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Alexander Dismuke and Reba Marie Ingram Dismuke of Jackson, TN. Kinnie was born on November 9, 1941, in Columbia, South Carolina. Growing up in Jackson, TN, Kinnie was a talented musician and sportsman playing the trumpet, organ, piano and playing baseball. He and Jan met while in junior high. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1959.

He then attended Union University earning a Bachelor of Science degree.While there, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1962-1966. Kinnie worked for Owens Corning in Marketing for over 30 years until his retirement.

In retirement, Kinnie found joy in traveling, playing golf and tennis, and cheering on college football and the Atlanta Braves. Above all, he treasured time with family and friends and his work within the church. Raised in the church, Kinnie played the piano and developed a lifelong love for music and service. He was a devoted, longtime member of First Baptist Cumming Church, where he served as a deacon. Serving as a deacon and Sunday School teacher throughout his life was a true blessing and source of pride.

Kinnie is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jan; daughter Amy (Ken) Seaton of Adamsville, Tennessee; daughter Anna (Dave) Jones of Woodstock, Georgia; grandchildren Andrew (Ruth) Seaton, Amelia Seaton, Alex (Jess) Seaton, Kayli Jones, and Bryce Jones, and his great-grandchildren William, Fitzhugh and Hank Seaton. He is also survived by his brother, Keith Dismuke of Germantown, Tennessee, and a host of extended family members.

The Dismuke Family would like to extend a special thanks to the Inspired Living staff of Holbrook and Kinnie’s personal sitters who took care of him during his final days.

The family will receive friends on February 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Cumming, 1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Auditorium 2. Reverend Mackie Hawkins and Reverend Ken Smith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Cumming Deacon Benevolence Fund.
