Kurt Stephen Schloemer, age 70, passed away unexpectedly in his home on December 25th, 2025. He was born on July 19th, 1955 to Mr. Robert Thomas Schloemer Sr. and Mrs. Shirley H. Schloemer in St. Louis, MO.

Kurt was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Debbie Schloemer, brother Robert ‘Bob’ Schloemer, and sister-in-law Carolyn Schloemer. He will be deeply missed by his three children Nicole Gavas (Chris) of Michigan, Stephen Schloemer (Britney) of Michigan, Michelle Anderson (Damon) of Georgia, and his grandchildren Easton, Kasie, and Tyler.

Kurt began his career at his late brother’s Ace Hardware store in Roswell, GA, and eventually transitioned to the Lumber Department Manager at Home Depot for many years. He was an avid cat lover, prideful Republican, enjoyed grilling and using his smoker, and watching sports and NASCAR.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, on January 31st, from 2pm to 4pm, with the service beginning at 3pm. In lieu of flowers please considering making a donation in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or your local animal shelter.
