Lavone Fuller Major

Lavone Fuller Major, age 74, of Marietta, GA, passed away on September 8, 2023. Lavone was born and raised in Cumming, GA, shewas a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She was a lifetime caregiver to her special needs daughter, Amy.  Lavone loved spending time with her family, researching genealogy, and reading.

Lavone was born May 30, 1949, in Cumming, GA, to the late James and Estelle Fuller. Lavone was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Major, her daughter Amy Major, brother Herschell Fuller, sister Vesta Bradley, and in-laws Henry D. and Willie Major.

Lavone is survived by her daughter Meredith (Chris) Lucas of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Brittany (Keshia) Lucas of Lexington;SC, Henley (Jordan) Lucas-Morris of Cumming; GA, Hayden (Madeline) Lucas of Cumming, GA; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Zoe, and Brendan Scoggins. Sister Ramona Bottoms, a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A celebration of life will be planned in the coming months for family and friends.
