Lawrence Larry Rice Phillips, 82, died Sunday, January 28th inSuwanee,GA, after a brief illness. Born inHazelton,INhe moved toBellbook,OHin 1960 where he resided until moving toGeorgiain 2017. He was a retired engineer from the Air Force where he dedicated 37 years of civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB inDayton,OH. He was a 1953 graduate ofHazeltonHigh School, a 1955 graduate ofVincennesUniversityand a 1959 graduate ofEvansvilleCollege.He was preceded in death by his parents, L. Brice Phillips and Virginia R. Phillips, ofHazelton,IN.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Roberta A. Phillips, a son, Craig Phillips (Julie) ofSuwanee,GA, a daughter, Jodi Conner (Alvin) ofCamden,AL, a sister, Zoan Meeks ofPrinceton,IN, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Sunday, February 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Creekside United Methodist Church, Cumming, GA with Rev. Jason Danuser officiating.
