Leanne Michelle Goode

Leanne Michelle Goode, 54, of Jasper, Georgia—formerly of Cumming, Georgia—passed away on July 27, 2025, with her friends and family by her side. Born in Michigan, Leanne's life was characterized by her strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jean Burke and Lee Burke. Leanne is survived by her cherished children, Chase (Cassidy) Goode, Alexis Matherlee, and Cameron Matherlee, as well as her beloved granddaughter, who was the light of her life.

Leanne was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. As a dedicated animal lover, she had a special affinity for all creatures and frequently reached out to care for those who could not speak for themselves.

Her legacy will continue through the family she adored and the many lives—both human and animal—that she positively impacted with her warmth and kindness. Leanne's memory will be forever held dear by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graveside service to honor Leanne’s life will be held at Sawnee View Gardens on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. All who knew and loved Leanne are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leanne’s name to the Forsyth County Humane Society, supporting her enduring love and compassion for animals.
