Lillian Ivey

Lillian Ivey, age 88 of Forsyth County, passed away, Wednesday, January 2, 2013. She was a life time member at Mayfield Baptist Church. Lillian was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed life and was quite the practical joker. Her hobbies included working in her garden, canning and freezing foods, sewing and her crafts. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dan Emmett Ivey; husband Emmett G. Ivey; son, Emmett Dan Ivey and her parents, Eston and Lena Smith. Survivors include her great grandson, Daniel Emmett Ivey of Gainesville; grandson, Robbie Barrett and family of Cumming; granddaughter, Lisa L. Ivey of Gainesville; daughter-in-law, Ernestine Barrett of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Emily Smith of Dalton; brother-in-law, H. V. Martin of Forsyth County; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Millwood, Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Wilbur Ridings officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
