Linda Ruth Duran

Linda Ruth Duran, 84, of Cumming passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026, with her loving husband and family by her side. Linda was a loving, generous, outspoken, and feisty woman who was truly one of a kind. She had a sense of humor that could light up a room, a stubborn streak that was unmistakenly her own, and a personality that made her the life of the party. Linda had a heart for people and was always the first to show up when someone needed her. She believed that no one should ever leave her home hungry, and her famous fried chicken was just one of the many ways she showed her love. A gathering of family and friends was never complete without Linda’s laughter, her strong opinions, and the warmth she brought to every occasion. Linda was a longtime member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her mother, Frances Wilson; stepdad AB (Cotton) Wilson, father, William N. Parker, daughter, Lisa Elaine and grandson, Chris Duran.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Frank Duran; sons, Randy (Michelle) Duran and Ricky (Michelle) Duran; grandchildren, Bethany (Jason Silvers) Duran, Megan (James) Parker, Katie (Taylor) Beak, Kyle Duran, Maggie (Tommy) Blackwell, Sarah Duran and Eli Duran, Lori Duran; and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, at 2:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Nash and Rev. James Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. service.
