Louis August Rosswaag

Louis August Rosswaag, age 91, of Cumming, GA, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017. Louis was a WWII Veteran of the US Navy. He was part of the landing of troops on the beaches of Normandy. Louis was a member of American Legion Post 307 in Cumming, GA and a member of the VFW. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved buying and selling. He was also a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Alan Rosswaag; parents, Louis and Amelia Rosswaag and his sister, Emily Frohlich.

Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Marian Rosswaag; children, Jan (Chris) Pitman, Robin (Mike) Currie, Pam Kerringan; step children, Diane (Derek) Burton, Alan (Maria) Bingeman, Karen (James) Short; daughter in law, Pam Rosswaag; 9 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren;1 step great grandchild and many other loving relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Christ The King Lutheran Church with Pastor James Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery on a date to be determined.
