Louise Moseley Lauthain

Louise Moseley Lauthain, 89, of Dawsonville, died peacefully, December 10, surrounded by her loving family.

 Born on August 20, 1935, Louise lived a passionate life, marked by love, faith, and a deep commitment to her family.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Florence H. Smith and Paul Smith, her sisters Evelyn Henry and Jeanette Chappell, brother-in-laws Robert E Henry and Reece Chappell Jr., and daughter in law Tina F. Moseley.

Louise is survived by her husband, Robert Edward Lauthain, daughter Laurie Moseley Anderson (husband Edward), sons Harry Moseley Jr (wife Donna), Darrell Moseley (wife Linda), Reid Moseley, Step Daughters, Joan Taylor (husband Glenn), Ann Cusack (husband John), cherished grandchildren, Nick Moseley (wife Lorri), Keeley McHugh (husband Joe), Ansley Patrum (husband Brandon), Logan Rider (husband Rick), Marianne Connell (husband Andre), Andrew Moseley, and Sarah Zamhariri (husband Austin), John Cusack Jr. (wife Ashley), Elyse Scally (husband Stuart), Christopher Taylor (wife Amanda), Michael Taylor (Chad). She also leaves behind 24 beautiful and cherished great grandchildren who knew her as Mema and a great-great-granchild.

 Louise graduated from Smith High School. She was a devoted mother who worked as a real estate agent with Cumming Development, then went on to become the Vice President of Sales and Administration with Phillips and Brooks. Louise loved volunteering. She was a Girl Scout Leader, Brownie Leader, Cub Scout Leader and a mentor at Cumming Elementary, all while working and chauffeuring her own children to club, sports, and church events.

 Louise raised her children with her first husband Harry Moseley Sr. Later, she met Bob and they shared 38 wonderful years together. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling to many destinations both locally and abroad. After they both retired, they moved to Ponce Inlet, Florida. They shared many special moments and created cherished memories with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren while living there. 

 Louise leaves behind a truly beautiful legacy of love, trust, and commitment to family and friends. She passed these traits down to all her family. She loved spending time with each of them, took pride in all of their accomplishments and embraced every opportunity to make memories with them. She was a vivacious reader and was a faithful book club member and hostess. She adored a themed party, and she and Bob would always be the first to light up the dance floor. 

 Louise’s memory lives on through the love of her family, friends, and all the lives she touched.

 A celebration of life will take place 11 am Saturday, December 14, 2024 in the chapel of Ingram funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.

 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation (https://atlantacancercarefoundation.org) or the Georgia Mountain Food Bank (https://www.gamountainfoodbank.org/). These organizations are special to our family because of her fierce battle against cancer and the exceptional care she received at the Atlanta Cancer Care Facility. The Georgia Mountain Food Bank represents the commandment of loving thy neighbor, something she took to heart and exemplified throughout her life.
