Lucille Mills Hamby

Lucille Mills Hamby, passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on December 31, 2023.  She lived her entire life in Forsyth County.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Hamby; son, Dennis L. Hamby; daughter, Judy Hamby; parents, Paul and Dona O’Bryant Mills; siblings, Hoyt Mills, Billy Mills, Ozelle Martin, and Irene Martin.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Harold Turner; grandchildren, Greg (Karla) Turner, Darron Turner, Matthew (Julie) Hamby, Michael (Claudia) Hamby, Brandon (Kristin) Hamby, Deana (Vic) Chapman; she is also survived by many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Colleen Bobo, Paulette (Mark) Grant; sister-in-law, Bernice Mills; numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3^rd, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Richard and Rev. Ruel Martin officiating.  The interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 2^nd, from the hours of 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, and then again from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
