Luther Cordell

Luther Cordell, age 94, of Cumming passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016.Luther was a wonderful, giving husband and father. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 67 years, Leonna Scruggs Cordell. Survivors include his wife, Ella Cordell; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Margaret Cordell, Mark and Rebecca Cordell all of Cumming; daughter, Ruth Drees of Sugar Hill; 4 sisters; and a brother; as well as a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home with Mr. Cory McPherson officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, December 13, at 12:00 p.m. at New Gray Cemetery in Knoxville, TN. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
