Lynda J. Christensen, 74, of Milton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026. A woman of remarkable creativity and independent spirit, Lynda left an enduring mark on her community as an educator, artisan, and curator of history.
Lynda was a proud alumni of Berry College in Rome, Georgia. For decades, she enjoyed a distinguished career teaching Industrial Arts within the Fulton County School System. In a field traditionally dominated by men, she broke barriers and inspired countless students, passing down the practical skills of craftsmanship, precision, and the joy of working with one’s hands.
Upon her well-deserved retirement from teaching, Lynda seamlessly channeled her passion for craftsmanship into a second act as a professional antiquarian. She devoted her later years to sourcing and selling antiques—developing a particular expertise in fine furniture and unique vintage clothing. Lynda became a familiar, beloved fixture in the local antiquities community, operating several popular booths across the area where she delighted in connecting historic treasures with new homes.
Her memory and vibrant spirit will be cherished by her longtime companion, Thomas A. Jones; her brothers, Mark (Debbie) Christensen of Little Falls, NY, and Parker Christensen (Siri) of Levanger, Norway; as well as a loving circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life event will be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA. Family and friends are invited to honor Lynda's memory by sharing stories and expressing condolences online at ingramfuneralhome.com.
