Lynda Lively, 81, of Cumming, GA passed away April 5, 2026. Lynda was born in Cumming, GA to the late Bige and Ina T. Bennett.
Surrounded by her family, and much love, our mother, Lynda Lively passed away peacefully on Apil 5, 2026. Lynda was a shining light to all that knew her.
Lynda was a friend to all-someone who loved deeply, gave generously, and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her kindness and warmth will never be forgotten. Family was at the heart of Lynda’s life. She treasured the moments spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride.
Lynda had a special gift in the kitchen. She was known for her cooking and baking, preparing home-cooked meals that brought everyone together. With her unique “taste testing” touch, she could take any recipe and make it her own. Among her most cherished dishes were her macaroni and cheese, dressing, chocolate cake, and strawberry shortcake-favorites that will be remembered and missed by all who enjoyed them.
She also looked forward each year to spending time with her sisters-in-love at the Lively Ladies Brunch, where laughter and memories were always shared. Her famous Georgia Bowl cookies were always a big hit with everyone.
Lynda found great joy in giving. Especially for her great-grandchildren or sharing her homemade Chex mix with family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for Pomeranian dogs, especially her beloved Gracie. Attending the annual Pom Party with Gracie was something she looked forward to. Lynda also cherished the time spent talking on the phone and watching the braves with her best friend Jeanette.
Lynda will always be remembered for her warm hugs, her beautiful smile, and her joyful laughter. Her love lives on in the many lives she touched.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lively; brothers, James Parks, Egbert “Bab” (Estlene) Parks, Cecile Bennett; sister, Jean (Marvin) Nicks.
Lynda is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Wayne (Lisa) Lively, Scott (Crystal) Lively; daughter, Dana (Ron) Freeman all of Cumming, GA, grandchildren, Chris (Kara) Lively, Kyle (Katherine) Lively, Jessica (Jon) Fernandez, Jacob Lively, Austin Lively, Mallory (Taylor) Chow, Leah Hall, Brady Hall, Lexi (Josh) Rogers, Hunter Freeman; great grandchildren, Leona Lively, Evelyn, Eleanor, Gideon, and Benaiah Fernandez, Ellidee Lively, Lily Chow; numerous extended family members and beloved friends.
