Lyndall Eugene "Gene" Bennett

Lyndall Eugene "Gene" Bennett, 88 of Cumming Georgia passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 24th 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty Hansard Bennett, also of Cumming. He is survived by his sons Alan (Lynne) Bennett of Peachtree Corners and Ken (Debbie) Bennett of Blue Ridge as well as 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Gene loved His Lord Jesus Christ, was saved at a young age and was actively involved in Brookhaven Baptist Church in Atlanta and Cumming Baptist Church. Gene served in the Georgia Army National Guard for 40 years until his retirement in 1996 with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. In their retirement years, Gene and Betty moved back home to Forsyth County after over 40 years in the Atlanta area. They loved to travel, spend time with their family and serve the Lord through their church.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, January 28, 2024 with Rev. Jamie Archer officiating at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:50 pm at Ingram Funeral Home with a procession to the cemetery.
