Major Martin

Major Martin, age 76, of Cumming passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015. A lifelong resident of Forsyth County, Major was a warm and caring person. He loved bluegrass music, traveling and the outdoors. Major is preceded in death by his wife, Theaby Ann Martin. Survivors include his sons, Steve Martin of Homer, Tim Martin of Cumming; daughter, Lisha (Keith) Martin of Cumming; grandchildren, Keisha Martin (Ramsey) Chambless, Michael (Shelby) Martin, Daniel (Carrie) Martin; great grandson, Aiden Chambless; sister, Peggy (Harold) Samples of Cumming. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 17, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Terry Cowart officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
