Maria Elena Vinci

Maria Elena Vinci, 71, of Cumming passed away suddenly Thursday, April 27, 2017. Maria was a beautiful lady that lived life to the fullest. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling. She gave life, she lived life, and she loved life; in 71 years, she packed in more than most. The greatest gift she gave was unconditional love. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Frances Telesca; a brother, Thomas Telesca; and her granddaughter, Courtney Vinci. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Gregory G. Vinci of Cumming; daughter, Lisa Marie (Tony) Zang of Cumming; son, Captain Gregory G. (Lauren) Vinci, Jr., USN, of Coronado, CA; 4 grandchildren, Elena Zang, Joseph Zang, Matthew Vinci and Elizabeth Vinci; brother, Anthony Telesca of Germany; sister-in-law, Michele Telesca of Colts Neck, NJ; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral mass will be held Monday, May 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Fr. Jorge Carranza, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgia Eye Bank.
