Marie DeMarco Renzi

Marie DeMarco Renzi, age 95, of Cumming passed away Monday, November 9, 2015. Marie was born November 9, 1920 in Newark, NJ. She met Armond Renzi in 1941 and was married in 1942 before Armond left for World War II. After the war, they located in Miami, FL where she became Principal of the Marion Center for the Diocese of Miami. She and Armond moved here to live on Lake Lanier. Marie was a founding daughter of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She loved her family, God and yelling at the Braves. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Armond J. Renzi who passed away in May of 2013. Survivors include her son, Edward Renzi of Ellijay; grandchildren, Edward Adam Renzi of Kennesaw, Michael Renzi of Cumming, Lisa Renzi of Athens and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Renzi and Porter Renzi. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Richardson as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3740 Holtzclaw Rd., Cumming, GA 30041.
