Mary Ann Gray White, age 76, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Accent Care Hospice in Cumming, Georgia, following a battle with cancer.
Born on January 3, 1950, Mary Ann was the daughter of Frank W. Gray and Johnina (MacCormack Webster) Gray. She was raised with strong values of faith, family, and service. On February 14, 1989, she married the love of her life, David G. White, in Killeen, Texas.
Mary Ann dedicated much of her professional life to transportation and logistics. She worked as a salesperson coordinating the transportation of goods for major corporations in New York City, later serving as a Transportation Specialist for the United States Army. She also held the position of Director of Tickets and Tours at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
She was baptized in the United Methodist Church in Lakewood, New Jersey. Mary Ann graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1968 and continued her education at Central Texas College and the University of Texas, where she completed 90 semester hours in Mid-Management Marketing/Retailing.
Mary Ann was a proud and active member of the American Legion Post 309 Auxiliary in Palmetto, Florida, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 9143 in Cumming, Georgia.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David G. White of Dawsonville, GA; her sons and step-son, Christopher (Sandra) Spencer of Cumming, GA, Scott (Laura) White of Parrish, FL, and Jason (Grace) White of Rockford, IL; and her beloved grandchildren, Logan, Riley, Chandler, Mia, Patrick, Julianna, Matt Jr., McKenzie, Seann, Savannah, and Kayla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 1045 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, Georgia. A private entombment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 307, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9143, or Accent Care Hospice, all in Cumming, Georgia.
